Family Mediator and Psychotherapist
Based in Farnham, Surrey, Azina is a highly experienced family mediator and psychotherapist, and a member of the Family Mediators Association (FMA) having trained as a mediator in 2000. Azina has over 24 years of psychotherapeutic practise experience with individuals, couples and families. She commenced her therapeutic career with a diploma in counselling in 1986 and is a MBACP (Senior Accredited) Counselling Practitioner and a UKCP (UK Council of Pyschotherapy) registered Family/Systemic Psychotherapist.
Azina is an accredited supervisor with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapists (BACP) and a family consultant within the collaborative law process. In addition, Azina is a NLP practitioner and holds additional qualifications in creative therapy, working with emotional, physical and sexual abuse, and working with drug, alcohol, and other addictions.
Azina has worked in the NHS as a family therapist, in GP surgeries as a counsellor for individuals and couples, and as a youth sexual health counsellor. She has worked in Children’s Centres with parents and their children and with Social Services for twenty years counselling parents who have experienced domestic violence, childhood abuse and who are involved in court proceedings.
Azina also offers short-term, solution focussed counselling within the business and private community.
As well as running her mediation practice, Azina is able to offer clients, with whom she is not directly engaged within the mediation process, counselling support prior to, during or after their involvement in, for example, family law or workplace mediation. Azina is based in Farnham, Surrey.
